Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum and would like to say I am very happy to be a new Multipla owner after looking for one for a long time.
I have just bought a JTD 105 model on a v plate with a known fault being power loss and an Injector light that is constantly on.
Upon picking car up I noticed straight away how weak it was! I stopped for some diesel and put some nice diesel treatment additive I had with me and took her out for a run. After about 20 miles all the power was back but a misfire was felt under constant throttle application whilst cruising in the top gears. I turned the engine off and restarted - Injector light did not come back on. I did not do any further tests.
The following day I replaced the Diesel filter and Air filter (both looked bad).
And at this point in time the light only comes on when it is revved.
I would like to know from your experience what the usual causes for this are (from likely to highly unlikely), and wether this light can only be reset with the examiner, or does the ecu turn it off if it feels that the fault has been found and repaired.
