After getting stuck on the wrong side of Dover customs (ello ello ello wot's going on ere then) when the Injection System Failure light popped up whilst in a traffic jam off the ferry ramp, the problem seemed to go away when the engine was left to cool down.
The problem only happens during standing idle and low rev (unnerving when waiting at traffic lights with a hot engine). The engine cuts out and won't start up until at least 30 mins cooling off time has elapsed.
The light never comes on during open road driving and I don't notice any misfiring. In fact it goes smoothly. I am taking it to a garage which fixed a friend of mine's Multipla that had similar problems. Their reckoning was an air leak in the fuel system. Performance wise its fine (open road). I just don't know how to diagnose this. No message comes up on the LCD like ENG CTRL FAULTY. Anyone come across this? Ta
