Sweet as guys, i will be in there first thing tomorrow with me tools,

cheers again.

gary

Ps love this new BOO clobber, might have some of that.

This thread will be usefull for someone i am sure in the future.

Anyway tried car today and stalled at lights would not start, was very near local garage so pushed it in, we then ordered and i bought and had put on a new coil pack put on, so now it has had -

a new coil pack £38 not bad, leads from another car in breakers changed all spark plugs for new and it still runs ****!!!!!

still cannot get over 55mph and it still sounds like a bus (running on 3 pistons), the light on the dash is still on and has stayed on for the last few days. Now it bever flickers it wasnt the Redex after all.

what do i consider next????? shoudl i check all fuses.

i asked the garage to do a diagnostic but they struggled to find the adapter for the brava????

please help....you guys must know what i could consider next....this si serious, loose my ride i will loose me job and then all ther cards will come tumbling down.

cheers Gary.

find a garage who can do a diag.

The 'randomly swap parts' approach to fixing cars never works and always costs more in the end.

my bravo 16V sounds the same!!! but the injection light hasnt came on yet!

its a 1600 i bet its either going to be an injector the map sensor/pipe or the lamba sensor.

if you are in the south east bring it to me and i will diagnose it for you.

ps i have spare injectors map sensors lamba sensors coil pack for the 1600 all known to be working.

In regard to the injectors, the guy at the garage said it cant be as the car idles fine and drives, if it was an injector he said you would get nothing. He says it is not the injectors. But the again it was him who said change the coil pack,

I have found a fiat dealer in Notts, so no not in the South east sorry, I am awaitig a call tomorrow, I guess the Diagnostic is the only way forward, I would suggest the same for you my friend.

I just hope i dont screw it traveling to work something i have to do.....no other option.

i havent luckly wasted money as yet as new plugs were needed and a new coil pack was also needed as the old was was cracked and well looked destroyed and i now have have two sets of fiar leasd costing nothing so not bothered by the costs so far...

Will keep posting as said before this thread may help others in the future so will let you know, but if there are any other little tricks that could be tried on the cheap let me know.

if it is a lamba change or the other thing you suggested is it a major cost?

cheers again to all.

Gazza
