Hey guys,

I am trying to find resources for technical specifications on the drive train for a 1953 Fiat 8V Series 1 Berlinetta Coachwork by Fiat Carrozzeria Speciale. I have searched the web endlessly, and have only been able to find gear ratios, nothing more. Can anyone point me in a direction or provide some links / contacts?

I have included an image.

Thanks for any assistance.

Not surprising really in view of the incredibly low production numbers. Although Carrozzeria Speciale sounds uber cool, it really is nothing more than FIAT's own coachwork plant. Ghia and, more famously, Zagato, also produced examples.

Somewhere they'll be detailed in one of the many marque histories (there may be engine details on one of the Zagato sites). 2 litre, 70 degree V8, as you'll know.

Worthwhile, perhaps, searching for Otto Vu.

According to the Kidston site -- from where, I guess, you got the photo -- Routeclassiche did a review recently.: unsure of whether they have a website.

And see Veloce Today. Tony Adriaensens has written the odd book on the 8V.

Thanks for the reply. Specifically, its the drive train details that I am struggling with. And I have to be cautious of details from Zagato, because I am not 100% sure the drive train hasn't been altered slightly for competition. Thank you very much for the link.
