Panda Indicators turning off front lights

Hi all,

I have an 05 Panda 1.2 Dynamic...I've noticed when I have the front lights on and I indicate left or right it's turning off the lights, not all the time but enough! Looks like I'm flashing at people lol

Any ideas please

You most likely have a dirty earth (negative) connection on the indicators. This is where the return wire is bolted to the car body.

worth wiggling the indicator stalk around while looking at the lights reflected in a window before stripping everything down.


Although the rear light cluster connector is a known weak area

Koalar has a point. Losing the headlights suggests they are getting switched off which would be the indicator/lights stalk. controls.


Earth faults tend to affect lamps with similar power such as brakes, indicators and tail lights. You have to follow the black wires back to where they are bolted to the car body. Just have to trace them along. Do front AND back as if one is dirty the others wont be much better.

Just rapidly flip the stalk up & down for as long as you care to, I had the same issue & it's not done it since. It's a stalk issue.

I had the indicator stalk replaced on mine while still under warranty for this issue. It's a known fault.

Hi all, yeah was moving the stalk around and it turns off lights and headlights, Ouroboros how long did you spend flipping the stalk up and down?
