Indicators not flashing?

This on behalf of a mate at work...

He has a mk1 R-reg Punto 5-door and his indicators have stopped flashing. They come on and just stay on. Its the same when the hazard button is pressed too. Has anyone any idea what needs to be checked or replaced? Is it just a fuse or relay or something and where will it be?

yep its your relay, i had the same prob with mine.
its located under the steering wheel housing, you have to take the bottom piece off and you'll see the little blue box which is your relay. you need a splined screwdriver to take it off.
