General Indicator stalk problem

Indicating to turn left is fine but for the right signal the stalk will not stay on and keeps drpping back to the centre. Is it worth stripping down myself or am I best getting a new unit? Thanks

It may be as simple as re-seating the rubber gaitor that stops and dirt.

Mine did this, worth a try before dismantling anything.

Not that hard to dismantle and check, just do it on a clear table etc so you can lay all the inners out and put them all back in after

I have this problem and have to get a new set of steering switches The horn and audio controls don't work either though so might be part of the problem?!

All three Fiats ive had (2 Puntos & the Stilo) have had weird indicator stalks that sometimes stick on when indicating left & sometimes won't stay on when indicating right. It's just how they are.

Personally unless it's completely unworkable i'd leave it as it is, because you could spend time & money pulling things apart & end up with an indicator stalk that still doesn't work properly, plus problems with other stuff that was previously working correctly.
