Apologies, but I am not sure where to post this, but if it makes me sound as if I am a Newbie, I am probably in the right place.
I would like to start a group under "Worldwide Owners" for Panda Classic owners in Germany following the suggestion that it would be useful to know the distribution of our Panda enthusiasts. I have found the following instructions in a FAQ :
.............
Can I create my own social group?
As a registered member, you can create your own social group (providing the administrator allows this). Go to the groups page and click 'Create A New Group'. Complete the title and description for your group then select the type. There are three types of groups:

  • Public - open to everyone. There is no restriction on who can join or who can post messages to it
  • Invite Only - require an invitation to be sent to join them. Invitations can only be sent by the group creator or forum moderators and administrators. Invitations are sent by clicking 'Pending & Invited Members' at the bottom of the page for that individual group
  • Moderated - open to everyone to join but messages need to be moderated before they will appear. They are moderated by the group creator and the site moderators and administrators.
.....................

I have been searching carefully, but nowhere can I find a 'Create A New Group' Link. Either it doesn't exist anymore, or I am a total dummy (more than likely).
Sorry to be so long-winded, but what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Well that's a relief. I thought I was losing it.

The link https://www.fiatforum.com/group.php?do=create
won't allow me access.

I notice that New Zealand and Wales have been active in 2015, so perhaps the groups may pick up again. There are fewer and fewer Classics on the road, so I'd welcome the opportunity.
I believe Ben the Boss the chap to ask, is he still doing?
I have PM'd him, but I notice that many questions seem go unanswered.
This is not a criticism, I'd just like to know if he is OK. In the meantime I'll do what you suggest.
Thanks for the help
Art

Hi Dave,
I am on a PC using Firefox browser.

here is the pop-up I got from that link https://www.fiatforum.com/group.php?do=create

artemus, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I am a registered user, but maybe that is not enough. I appear to need special priveleges, but I don't know what they are, or how to get them.
