Hi all, has anybody fitted additional security products to the Doblo.

Someone has had a go/got in the back door on my van. Screwdriver between the actual door (rear double doors) and the plastic handle surround.

I always empty my tools out so if they did get in there was nothing worth stealing.

Damage is not too bad, bit of warping and paint damage but nothing really bad.

I am thinking of fitting some sort of armour plate and/or dead lock or similar.

Any input on this matter would be great.

Cheers.

had mine broken into they punched the rear lock in. I heard about slam locks, apparently they are really good, the couriers use them, but it cost about £120 fitted/1 lock.

I tried a limpet on my first but when parked at an angle it was very difficult to operate because of the body flex.

Next I fitted zone 4000 hasp to rear doors and either side a zone 4150 which bridges the sliding and drivers door. http://www.zonesecurity.com/html/hasps.php see top two pictures
These use keyed alike round padlocks like the zone 500
When you are driving the whole hasp unhooks so it does not rattle and you cannot be locked in.

bit ugly though

garrison van locks and locks4vans are both neater, but more expensive.

http://www.garrisonlocks.co.uk/ - disclaimer, I do know this cheeky chappy personally though it is not me, I only do safes.
