Hi
I have been searching the forum for questions on remote locking problems. My problem is I have a 98 Ulysse with two black keys, one has two buttons and a folding key. From the user manual I'm supposed to be able to lock/unlock the car but it has never worked even after changing the battery. The imobiliser turns its self on after leaving the car but i'm not sure if the alarm works. Do I need to recode something???
I normally jost lock the car with the key but it would be handy to have remote locking.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Cheers

Gordon
Gordon,

Hi, I'm not too sure how the immobiliser works on the Ulysse. You usually need a master key to program Fiats.

I'll post this up in the Ulysse section for you, you should get more help there.

A quick way to test if your alarm is working is to lock the car with a window open. It should go off after it sets, if not try waving your hand around through the window.

Good luck,
Dave :)

Firstly the alarm was optional on the Ulysse, so are you sure you have one?

Secondly the imoboliser requires a security code (available from ISR) to enable new keys, but if the key starts the car then thats not the issue.

When I got my codes from ISR they supplied 2 sets, one for the imobliser, and one for something else - could be this is for the radio remote - not sure.

Hope this helps

Paul

Try putting the key in the ignition and turn the ignition on then press the lock key for at least 5 secs the get out and try the remote.

Not sure if this will work for your model but its worth a try.
