My 1.4 Active Sport is giving me major headaches, it initially started out of the blue, when I turned the ignition on and the immobiliser light would not go off, so the fuel pump would not activate, I thought that the key or immobiliser had lost codes, so I had them recoded, but this only solved the problem for 5-10 minutes, before it returned, I did this again, before the mechanic said he could do no more. I then took it home and tried some other solutions such as taking the terminal off the battery overnight, and it worked for me! But now the problem has came back around 8 weeks later and this solution has not worked, and then I tried turning the ignition to on, and then putting the terminal back on the battery, this allowed the car to start however the car will not turn off by turning the ignition off, or by removing the terminal, and it has to stalled, but the car will start again even if you get out and lock it and get back in but still will not come back on.
