imap error

hi guys

have just installed aol software onto my computer and when it loads up it displays an imap error for emails
does anyone know how to fix this

No you use both.
Pop3 or IMAP to receive and SMTP to send.

I thought Pop and SMTP was for home connections and IMAP and Exchange was for companies.

aol i know it is a prob not my choice though my cousins lol, i managed to sort it in the security settings had to change tem to ssl and that sorted it
