General Im going under!

Im finally going to get to see under my car tomorrow, a mate is going to jack the car up. A few things that you guys could help me with.

- I want to get to the airfilter box, is it easy to get to? i Know i have to take off that shield thing to get to it.

- My Air con has never worked since i bought it, i think that it could be that pipe that i have read about, that gets shattered, and they made a new flexi one, do you know where this pipe is located.

- exhaust if blowing somewhere had the flexi thing done which helped a bit but is still boomy, are there any other places that i could check.

- Anything else i can look for while im under there?/

Yes very easy from underneath.

Sorry to say that particular pipe is best accessed from above the engine, not under it.

- exhaust is blowing somewhere had the flexi thing done which helped a bit but is still boomy, are there any other places that i could check.

Suggets you check condition of the silencer boxes (there are two) particularly where the pipe enters and exits them.

- Anything else i can look for while im under there?

Slap a bit of Waxoyl on any bits of corrosion you see.

Open bonnet.

Down on the left side by the bumper when facing engine.

I found another way of getting to the pipe while fixing something else is to remove the drivers wheel, side shroud and wheel arch liner and it's right there facing you, seems pretty close to the undertray when I looked which is probably why is gets broken easily.

if the back box looks rusted dont worry about it as I think it's dual skinned, my first skin was rusted away but the other is alot thicker and will last alot longer.
