I know this is a hard question but i thought i would ask anyway. I am taking an Ai file of a CAD drawing of a train but i have far too much detail for the task that i need it for. The train is made of vetor lines so does anybody know a quick way of filtering the ones that i dont need without loosing the outline and partial details of the body. ATM i am having to select and delete everyone seperately. You may also know about CAD so would there be somekind of thresh hold setting when saving.

The only other way is to select all the lines you want to keep and then shift-select the rest and delete them....

It cannot filter anything out because there is no way the program will know which lines are important and which aren't....

I can't help with the CAD end of it I'm afraid....
