Hello,

I have a Panda 1.2 from 2013 with 150k km.

A weird issue started some months ago. I am driving the car normally and randomly the engine light comes on, the engine starts failing running only on 2 cylinders and if you put it in neutral the engine goes off. When you start again the car, everything works perfectly and the engine light is gone, until it happens again, randomly.

After reading the obd I get p0302 and p0303 code, cylinder misfire.

So far, I have replaced:
Ignition coil
Spark plugs
Spark plugs wires

I don't know more where to look... I am trying to find if someone here faced a similar issue or maybe have an hint...

Thank you in advance 🙂

Hello,

Looking at the error codes I assume you've read them with some generic OBD reader. Use MES of AlfaOBD, or anything that communicates with FIATs.

The x319 error codes look like that:

Strange that the errors are on two cylinders. If the error codes are correct.

Pity, but the details of the troubleshooting cannot be seen anymore :(

It could be the infamous corroded engine earth strap problem. If you connect a temporary earth lead from the engine block to the battery negative terminal and the fault stops occurring then you know the earth connection hidden under the battery tray needs replacing.
