Hey!
I have a little problem with my ignition switch on my Ducato 2003. When you turn to the ignition mode, the key does not stay there, but the key springs back. Tried to lubricate with oil but without results. Is it possible to repair the ignition switch or are there new ones to buy?
Regards Micke

You should try contacting a reputable auto locksmith. They may be able to repair the mechanism however this is no guarantee. No harm in asking though :)

Replacing it is also an option since they're relatively inexpensive. I'm no expert with Ducatos however maybe try remove the barrel unit and see if there's anything broken etc. If not confident then it's best left to a reputable garage or locksmith as its easy to damage things.

Good Luck!

I’ve removed the barrel and given the mechanism a squirt of csp fluid, I’ll see how it lasts.
