I can't get the ignition key out of the ignition switch on my automatic 2.8 Ducato motorhome.
Has anyone got any suggestions, please?

Have you tried running a spot of WD40 or something similiar into the lock, also try turning the steering wheel a little bit each way whilst you try to remove it.
I don't know what the electrical circuit is on your motorhome, but on certain lorries you cannot remove the key if the alternator packs up or you have a flat battery.

Think you will find the micro switch below the selectors are ready for renewing.
They are very cheap (well my Audi pair where only £25) when selector is put in park it electronically enables the switch to the key to be removed.
Also have a look on the ignition where key is inserted to see if there is a small hole if so insert a pin in it to release key :)

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can manually extract the key by pressing the spring lever through the small hole underneath the ingition lock.

The gear selector works right and the instrument cluster indicates the selected "gear" correctly.

But it would be nice to get it working again. I read there should be a solenoid that controls the key release together with the gear selector (park position)

06 2.8JTD automatic.
