General iffy brake switch

There are two plunger switches fitted above my brake pedal one white and one red, the white one for some reason keeps moving downwards which means I get no brake lights, I have put a cable tie on the upper side which is above the bracket to try and stop it slipping but it seems odd that this fitting should be doing this and the red one is fine, I am surprised it seems to have a white coller below the bracket to stop it moving up but not one above to stop it slipping down, anyone else had this problem as I am sick and tired of having to keep adjsuting it, I would buy a new one but somehow I cannot see what difference it will make if its the same design.
