I sorted the seats out myself by sourcing my own material and am having them done as a custom job after the car comes from the factory so a very expensive and complicated option I'm afraid but it will be worth it in the end!

Flojo I know right! And Bettie they sound beautiful I want them! Haha I'm looking at different materials now lol and my husband is saying no haha but leather is quite a lot more anyway isn't it! Haha do u know someone who is going to recover the seats or is there a company that does this? X

Guess who is here! Oooh! I am in HEAVEN! :)

Lets see here, Lilac Bettie is a Lounge Twin Air Dual Logic in Idol Pink (though really she's very much lilac as you can see.) Customised interior with ivory ambiance, lilac leatherette and white sparkle vinyl which I think looks out of this world! Heated seats, 16" spoked alloys, tinted windows, bonnet strip, front A bar, chrome number plate surround, chrome wing mirrors, side strips with 500 badges, my own personalised chrome badges, bi-xenon headlights, parking sensor, fiat rubber mats, mudflaps plus all imaginable bells and whistles. I'm a very, very lucky girl! :)

Sorry about all the images, we couldn't stop snapping! :)

Absolutely brilliant. Not for me, but proves what a little thoughtful customisation can do.

Thanks for sharing.

Edit: if you don't mind telling us, what did your mods cost?

Now that is what I call full extra!

OK £2,000 is a lot of money to add to the price of a "cheap" car like the 500 (and, yes, I know, it is not even that cheap to start with).

But look at it another way: sat nav on an Audi will cost you £2,000. And depreciation in the first year of ownership on most cars will be a lot more than £2,000 more than the depreciation on your car.

And most importantly of all: assuming you are not going to starve by reason of spending that money, you have something that is unique and which clearly is giving you a lot of pleasure. One thing we can say for certain about that £2,000: you cannot take it with you.

Absolutely right Robin, I like your way of thinking. Actually I didn't pay anything, it was basically a straight trade with £14 extra going to me. I downsized from a big, mean 4x4 which I no longer needed for its original farm work purposes. It was time for some fun and total frivolity! I am into classic cars but there was no way I would go for an American 50s number, despite my dreams of one! Not on these terrible lanes and with the fact they are more of an ongoing project rather than a vehicle for getting from A to B. The Fiat struck all the right chords with me. It screams retro but in a happy little modern shell. I am so pleased with my decision! :)

Thank you guys! I'm afraid to say we are looking at about 2K plus of mods!

Absolutely wonderful! I am waiting for my idol pink lounge to come and although she won't be as beautiful as Bettie I'm still very excited!!

My car is here! Franco the idol pink lounge 1.2. Not sure how to upload pics on here but he's on my instagram (MADZ777).

The 'sparkle' vinyl of Lilac Bettie makes more sense now that a liking of American cars has been mentioned :)

I actually think colour-wise, this is truly inspired and the materials improve on the rather dour colours offered by FIAT - the section in the door panel, for example, breaks it up really nicely. I like the way the headrests are trimmed - tricky shapes to do - think I'd just paint them white.

It certainly gives me an idea for what I'd like done in white leather on my next 500 in many years' time ;)

Oh my goodness!!! That's amazing. Its really in the spirit of the 500 being such a 'personal' car. You did a great job.
Please, where did you source the custom badges?
Thanks,
Ian.

Always a good thing. Whilst of course with me being a chest beating alpha male it's not my sort of colour, I do see why people would like it and it doesn't have the stigma of the Barbie hot pink 500 where most will assume is driven by a platinum bleached blonde with loads of fake tan.

Hahahaa thats very sterotypical :p
