That's a different pink, this is meant to be idol pinkI saw one on the road the other day - it hurt my eyes it was so bright!

There are two types of pink????? Bye eck if the Barbie pink one my neighbour had is anything to go by you would have thought they would have learnt their lesson at the 1st attempt. Horrible
Whilst pink is not my things *beats chest in manly fashion*. It appeals to some people and that's what some people like. If it gets more 500's on the road then that's a good thing

I'd agree that there are very few cars which look good in pink.

Is it sad that I looked at that and straight away noticed how badly the door is lined up?
The patchup job on the sill isn't looking that clever, either.
But it's amazing that any PA's have survived at all - they were absolute rustbuckets.
There is that too, but that seems to be very much par for the course for that period of car in the UK. Patch it up cheaply, paint it and be part of the scene...

There are stories of them actually rusting in the showroom. My dad had a Velox. On the way to school one day he braked and the rear springs came through the rear seat.
See if you can find the german or italian names for the pink colour and google images it, you might find something there. If no one else has looked this evening I'll have a go It's possible that as it was to be a later release colour there won't be anything in this colour just yet.

Thanks for the reply! That's a good idea, I wouldn't know where to start though! The pic of the idol pink one above is the only clear pic I've found!
As for the pinkness...it wouldn't suit everyone but I'm sure it'll be fine for me
the Barbie pink is too far. What of seen of the idol pink is in my opinion pretty tasteful.
The italian name for the pink is "Rosa Diva". I found a pic halfway down http://www.autopareri.com/forum/fiat/27564-fiat-500-m-y-2013-topic-ufficiale-366.html which is talking about the new colours, showing a pic of a pink Ypsilon Elle which could be the same pink that Fiat will be using.
There is also a pic on facebook dated within the last couple of weeks (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...83772153.24767.115332888597156&type=1&theater). They look pretty similar so I think it's safe to say that's the pink colour

I have decided that given the choice of the 2 tones of pink, I prefer the barbie pink. And I'm not a pink person in the slightest!
Thanks for the research! Do you really, how come? Idol seems more of a lilac/mauve than pink actually!
I dislike the metalic look of it I think. I much prefer solid, bright colours - I'm the same with nail varnish

I feel no desire to drive a pink car, I'd put a rainbow stripe on my blue car before I chose pink

Hellooo! I am a (very excited and shorly to be) 500 newbie and I went for the Idol pink but its a bit of a misleading name. Also, the idol pink on the fiat website is nothing like the real-life colour. Lets rename it to something more apt shall we? Hummmm I rechristen it Blackberry Pearl. It is actually a metallic lilac. Its exactly what I wanted, girlie yet subtle and grown up. Here are some photos I took at the dealers which actually give a very accurate depiction of the colour. This is not my car by the way, she is still being built!
