Hello everyone, I have a à' Ducato that would not idle correctly. I have replaced the regulator and now it is much better. accelerats quicker and is just much more responsive. However, it does not seem to want to idle below ,000 revs.
Checked the part no. but some suppliers say it may not be compatible. It looks identical to the original. Should I give the ECU time to accept the new part?
When it first started up it accelerated back and fourth for a few minuites finally settling on 1500 after a good run it went to 1,000
I would be interested to hear your views

@Glyn22800,

Perhaps you could tell the forum as to what engine your Ducato has. I am unable to relate a separate engine speed regulator to a common rail engine with ECU. On my 2.8jtd the ECU controls the idle speed, and will increase the idle speed if it sees a low battery voltage.
