Alright guys and gals

I have a slight problem and being new to this Injection/Ecu stuff I am hoping one of you can help (y)

Car has been running fine and then all of the sudden when she is cold I can not get her to idle ( keeps on stalling ) and then when she gets hot, the engine has a high idle.

What could be causing this problem?
Next week (on pay day) I will take her in for a diagnostics test, but till then I am left scratching my head.
Just before this happened I had a funny clicking noise coming from the fuse box in front of the battery, but looking over the Manuel there don't seem to be anything in there that would affect this. Just stuff like cooling fan relay etc.

I brought some Slick 50 Injection cleaner and only just put that in.

Please check my sig for the make and modal of my car.

Thanks in Advance

Ben

I have the exact same thing on my sx 100, hopefully someone knows what the problem could be as sitting in traffic on the motorway with your engine cutting off everytime you stop is pretty annoying! :)

Think I may of cured it :slayer:

Tried taking off the wires that go to the idle speed controller and the revs hit the roof. So I went back to what was ticking before the problem started ( The little black box in front of the battery ).
I took out all the relays and fuses one by one and cleaned each spade with maintenance, a cloth and a screwdriver. After doing so, I started her up and hey presto the revs are sitting at 850 on idle. The next test will be when she is cold.

Which is really weird as I cannot see anything to do with idling in the manual

technically, that isnt possible

is it still fixed?

Yeah, which is soo weird ( but good :) )

I took it to Norwich yesterday for a drive out and sitting in traffic it has been back to its normal revs ( 850 rpm ).

Since curing the problem I have also filled up the petrol tank with slick 50 injection cleaner and a full tank of petrol. I have changed the spark plugs today. I also flushed the engine oil out with wynns, then added new oil and filter.
She runs even better now :) :slayer:
