General Identifying the model?

Hi all, A newbie here, just bought a 2000 Fiat Ducato 2.8l 4/5 birth but can’t seem to identify exactly which model it is. Is there an information plate somewhere on it as the tyre pressure plate on the drivers door frame does not list it and the MOT documents and registration document just lists it as PLG?

Hi Camperron,

Welcome to the forum. I assume that you are referring to the Ducato base vehicle and not to the motorhome conversion.

Given the year of registration? your vehicle will be an x2330, as defined by the VIN number having the format ZFA230xxxxxxx. See VIN plate above radiator, or registration document.

As regards the engine, 2000 was the in which the 2.8idTD (8140.43) was replaced by the common rail 2.8jtd (8140.43s) which has electronically controlled injection. Given the delays inherent in motorhome conversion, it is more likely that you have the 2.8idTD.
