My head nit has 4 pre outs FL FR RL RR, To use these do they have to be plugged into a amp or is there enough power from them alone to power some say 6X9's?
the 'pre' means they are outputs from before the amp in your head unit. You might get a very little bit of noise from some speakers connected to them but most likely it could damage the headunit.
