Just looked for my glow plugs and guess they have a position thats almost impossible to reach :-@
I would just beat the crap out of the designer of the engine grrrrrrrrrrrr

Sorry to hear that sven, the ones on my Golf were like that, I decided it wernt worth losing the skin on my knuckles so took the car and parts to a motor mechanic who said it would be a doddle and only charged £15.
When I went to collect it later that day he mentioned what an arse of a job it was, how smug was I that I got one over a grease monkey!

but I just took apart the parts in the way and 1 only 1 of my glow plugs have gone and its the one that has the most room to get to. Gonna change them tomorow

Glowplugs usually last a lifetime, they are not designed to be easily changed every year.

Last a lifetime, damn I must be cursed!
Had to change the ones on both the Golf and The 306 around the 5 year mark

Tom they should, but like all there is they dont
Just wanted to point out they are in a better place on some of the cars I have changed them.
