Technical i need to approve my rim size :(

hey, im from israel
i have fiat uno 70s
i bought 14" rims
now i have 155/70R13
i need a picture from a book or some source that shows
my 1992 uno 70s can be fitted with 14" rims!

hate the law here
they approve by the program "autodata"

well i could put the wheels on and every year put my old 13 for the yearly test
but if a police officer pulls me over
he can take my ride of the road
untill ill put back the 13"

they should hire cops with the proper knowledge in cars. it seems that your car to look good and be unique be so imposible.

yup
it has 2 carburator's from alfa 33
say , tipo seats will be good in my uno?
will it fit?

hmmm. im not really sure. im not that really familiar with tipos. ill see what are the dimensions. need to know the width of the seat. id guess and say that it would fit.

but why would you change your seats for tipo's?

70 S looks just like a 45 inside, does it differ from UK models ?

We have several nodels with diff engines (1L,1.1L,1.24L,1.3L etc) but all of them look the same inside..So hard judging one b4 poping the bonnet.or the side stickers !

AND YOU GUYS i just got email from "fiat israel" and they didnt approved my request of changing my rims to 185/55R14
they say the maximun i could put in my uno is 175/70R13 :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:

Just thought I'd mention that you shouldn't try fitting Tipo seats (in my opinion). The Uno has a unique type of mounting where the rails are turned sideways - to adapt the Tipo seats would be difficult, unless you added more rails flat on the floor, and then these rails would be too high because of the crossmember. I'm not sure how people put race seats in Unos but I'm pretty certain they sacrifice adjustability to get over the height problem. But in the meantime it sounds as though you are having enough problems with a simple wheel size change, so best not to change the seats I reckon.

Ah dear, what can be done... Do all cars over there run on their original-sized wheels? That must be quite a sight - Honda Civics etc. on 13 or 14" rims rather than 18" chrome alloys...

I'm sure you'll be able to re-sell the wheels, or maybe save them for the day you get a Punto. Are you sure that they're actually 14s? Steve and I said from the start, the Mk2 Uno Turbo still had 13" wheels and they looked exactly like yours.

By the way, I thought all 70 models came with a rev counter along with the electric windows, and so forth. It looks like you have electric windows, but there aren't enough dials on the dash? Perhaps there's a law about that too

thats it. would solve yer problems.

have any connections with the government there? relatives that work for the gov't? friends etc.. they are your key to approve your rim size.
