im running two 12" subs off a 4 channel amp bridged. set up like 1st diagram shows

only thing is only one sub works. wires are definatley connected.

after fiddling with the wires i discovered that i can get both subs to work like diagram 2 shows

wont i lose power if theyre wired up like diagram 2?

any help is much appreciated

on my amp i have A+B, A+B Left, A+B Right

so i just put the RCAs on the A+B one

might it be one of the RCAs fell out at the back of my head unit?

or if one wire was pulled wouldnt i get any sound at all?

are you sure you mean the RCA's not the speaker.

you should wire like on the top diagram, tom means the wires from your head unit to your amp.

you should either have 2 cables from the head unit to the amp or 1 cable with a Y splitter, so 4 plugs into the amp.

wire the speakers as in the top diagram.

on your amp you have 4 RCA in's right? 2 white 2 red.

plug the cable from you HU into one white and one red, one speaker should work, plug your cable into the other white and red set, the other speaker should work. Put a splitter between the two rca's and both should work.

now then,

i wired up like the lst diagram showed initially, but only one speaker worked,
i knew what tom meant by the RCA cables aye mate, and yeah theyre plugged into the right sockets, on my amp i actually have 6 sockets for RCA cables,

this is the amp anyway,

its too bad i cant find a picture of the other side to show what i mean by 6 RCA sockets,

but i seem to have cured the problem by hooking it up like the 2nd diagram shows, it seems to be loud as hell and the bass makes my hair fuzz to the beat, but what i dont get is that i know its not hooked up right! lol

on the 2nd diagram running in parallel will half the ohmage (is that a word?) of the speakers so make sure your amp can handle a 2ohm loading asssuming they are 4 ohm speakers in series fig 1 it should double to 8 ohm

ignore that, just looked again and in fig 1 they aren't in series. signal feed from h/u connected ok? p.s. if u lower ohms to 2 amps (fig2), u will need a high current capacity amp capable of it. i used to run a kenwood mono amp for 2 subs in parallel until some **** nicked it along with h/u and subs :(

i have the 800watt 2 channel version of that amp which has 4 rca's, 2 in 2 out for going to the next amp. are 2 of yours out rather than in and have you got the correct ones connected. i don't understand why the top diagram doesn't wirk :/

My old 4 channel also had 6 RCA plugs on it.

4 plugs were in and 2 were out.

I had to plug the first set in as normal, then get a very short set and plug it into the out, then back in again...

Like this.
(Please excuse the ultra quick and crude pic...lol)

This should now let the first diagram work ;)

should only need to do that if he only has 2 rcs's though. shouln't need it with 4.

what does it say on the head unit on your rca outs. Front? rear? sub?
