Technical i dropped the rear light nut!

In a hurry to change a bulb i dropped the fixing nut holding the cluster in. Ive looked for a replacement online but cant find anything...anybody can point me in the right direction or an alternative solution...a stupid fastening system anyway!

The thread is standard metric..

Cadge one from around the vehicle....
Probably a few around that you wouldnt miss.. for a day or so

At a guess like some on here I have a container or two full of nuts and bolts collected over the years that would come up with the nut you require, but obviously that is no help to yourself. As said metric, but I’m a bit confused as you say it’s standard but not standard!!!

I expect I can match you but for nutthe one in question is pressed tin about 40mm deep on all 3 I have owned, can't remember thread 6/8mm I think
