I'm fitting a hydraulic pedal box in my Cinq and I've come across a small problem. Have fitted the hydraulic selector from a Punto, used a Cinq cable and Punto cable and the bracket for the Punto cables. Hooked it all up but when I change gear with the gearstick my gears are upside down! Reverse is in the place of 1st gear and 1st in the place of reverse etc...

Think it's the gold lever on top of the selector, do I need to spin it 180 degrees to be in the same position as the Cinq selector? Any thoughts? :bang::confused:

Take the gubbins out of a cinq selector and put them into the punto housing, they will go straight in, only a roll pin and a hidden C clip under the white plastic block (with big spring pushing on it) holding it all together

levers on the punto are obviously reversed but they are also different lengths so cant just flip them due to a master spline inside

That was my original plan and I did try it with another punto selector I have but it wouldn't work. Based on your post I tried again and realised the reverse light switch was causing the problem. Selectors from later punto have a shallower hole for the reverse light switch so just needs some washers to space it out.

Thank you for your help, got so close first time but never even noticed that!!! :bang::worship:

Great work, how easy is this conversion to do?

Not that easy. Sourcing the correct punto bits and swapping them over and fitting is easy. Problem is master cylinder. Whitz did a nice solution using a punto master cylinder on the cinq pedal box, I'm ditching the whole lot and using an OBP hydraulic pedal box but my car is intended for track use.
