Thing is Autoexpress is the worlds worst car magazine. They just make stuff up.

They say Fiat is going to have a DSG style gearbox? Not strictly true. The Fiat one is going to be a DDCT (dual dry clutch transmission) which is similar but quite different.

I wouldn't believe the timelines they give either. The DDCT boxes will be around late next year.

From what i've heard the two cylinder N/A engine will manage 80mpg purely on it's own with a DDCT transmission and Multiair.
