Hi Guys
New Member.Just bought a 2002 Punto Mk2 5 door 50000 miles one owner
in very good nick full service history.Twice the immobilizer ignition key warning
light has stayed on and the engine would not start.Eventually it goes out after putting the key in several times and the engine starts. Is there an easy fix?

Have you checked the battery in your key?

Welcome to the forum. The battery in the key is only used for remotely (un)locking the car. It could be a poor connection on the antenna ring near the ignition barrel. I'm not overly familiar with these cars though so can't tell you where the likely poor connection could be.

I have two keys but one is very worn, what is the easiest way to buy another key.

if it's got a chip in - then putting the key next to the lock barrel may well still read it's chip..,

a good autolocksmith is your best bet,

or there is always ebay and a normal cutting bar to get the key blank profiled,
