4 or 5 times this week we have had a double beep and a message that disappears after a second or so. The only word we have time to read is "Humidity" then see you garage. Does anyone have any suggestions?
My daily commute is 110 miles and it seems to bleep within the first 5 then
never again.
Thanks

(y) Hi. I think this is the 'humidity in diesel filter' or something, warning. This use to come on all the time on my old diesel uglybug.

I discovered that as long as I let it go through it's little motions when I turned the ignition on, i.e. let the glow plug light go out on the dash before attempting to start it, the warning never came up.

However, if I just jumped in and tried to start it, quite often it warned me of this humidity thingy. A false warning, yes, but it was my fault for rushing in to things.

Try that and see if it comes up again. If it's ok then fine. But the warning is there for a reason so if it continues to shout at you even after letting it do it's stuff, then have it looked at I guess.

Hope this helps.

Apparently this was a software glitch that occured if, as related above, the key was turned to start the engine before it ran the 'diagnostics' test. Absolutely nothing to be concerned about.
