Where would I get a set of good quality Ignition leads from?
Whats the best make to get?
This is for a 1992 Uno 60 1108cc injection FIRE engine

I've just looked at the magnecor website but they only list the Uno up to 1986.
Was there another Fiat that had that engine that I could order the leads for?

Thanks

Great link there from Ucof - I was amazed by the number of lead sets on offer.

Just a note of caution though - if it says 'for Uno 55/60/70 models' like the first result has, then they won't suit the FIRE engine. There was an earlier non-FIRE 1116cc 60 (up to 1989) that had the same leads as the 1299/1301 70 model (also up to 1989) and the even-earlier 1116cc 55 model (up to 1986) that was short of a few horsepower due to single exhaust pipe and single-barrel carb. All these engines have the distributor mounted in the block, near the timing belt end, and 'sockets' in the distributor cap rather than sticking-out terminals. Since these models are now fairly rare, the leads are likely to be cheaply available or not available at all.

I believe an Uno 60 FIRE (1108cc) has the same leads as an Uno 45 FIRE (999cc) - all years after 1986. I've owned both and I remember interchanging distributors and leads between them.

The Uno 45 903cc (Uno 45 Formula) is different again, so there is plenty of scope for getting the wrong leads... just thought I'd point that out ;)

I thought http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Set-HT-Igniti...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item587cfeaf3e looked good until I realised these are for a twin-coil type, not distributor type. It says "Uno FIRE" but I think every Uno had a distributor, so this is yet another trap to beware of.

I think these should be OK: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HT-Igntion-Le...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230a75798c

Thanks for your help (both of you)
I ended up oredering leads (8mm) from Magnecor for a Panda 999 Fire which i recon will fit the 1108 Fire. I measured the king lead and there was only 1 inch difference so should be fine.

Let you know how I get on.

Maybe Magnecor should update their website?
