I'm not dutch, but i live in holland.. but yea they have a forum for holland cinquecento owners, but the problem is that they are not that active on their forums then this site. More members means more experience to share with other members, if u get what i'm saying
.
What are your whereabouts then?
Curently i have the 1.1 sporting engine and im getting the feeling that the engine isnt far from her death. Instead of taking it out and overhauling the 1.1 i prefer buying a punto 60 engine overhaul it port & polish the engine insert the cam, in other words making it ready for when its done its just get old engine out get new punto 60 in.
That way the car wont be standing still and i can stil get to work.
Exactly what my situation was and what I did
My serious advice: think about doing turbo from the start. I was also planning to first just swap the engine with new parts in, go factory n/a and then build the turbo. But then I started calculating and thinking. Money wise it is going to be (and it was indeed) a disaster either way. Time and workwise I would double my efforts going n/a first and then turbo. I had the engine in the basement so I figured it would be soooo much easier to build all the bits in comfy conditions than in the car. And it all worked out. All in all I managed to stay with the car off road for only a week, and that was only because the whether blocked me, otherwise it would be running within 3 days. Now going to go and do yet another stress test ride
