Technical How to remove front bumper (3dr)?

I keep meaning to post up this guide - I did it on the 5 door when I swapped over bumpers.

I am off out now, but will try and upload the pics and guidance later, ok (y)

This is gonna be useful to me too, got to (sometime) replace the passenger side headlight on mine so need to know how to get the bumper off! :D

Aargh, I can't find the info I got off Bennyboy about how he did mine - I have trawled through my emails and PMs as well...

I will need to look at the pics, and go from there - it wasn't that hard to do, but there were a few very awkward nuts under the front wheel arches.

From what I've been told Stu you're right; it's undo the 3 (or 2 on latest models) screws holding each wheelarch liner to the front bumper, then undo the 3 screws at the top, then the 5 (i think) at the bottom.

Don't have a clue about the grille.

Then there are indeed some, i believe 2 bolts, inside each front wheel arch and wing that hold the bumper on; my FIAT dealer said that you need to take both wheels and arch liners out but it doesn't look like you and Ben did . . .

Here you go
This is how it was described I beleive by Bennyboy. Credits to the author

"Removing the front bumper
There are 3 screws that hold the splash panel/inner arch lining on, undo these & you should be able to ft your hand inside.

There is an 8mm self tapping screw & a T30 torx bolt, undo these & remove & repeat the process on the other ide of the car.

There are 4 T30 torx bolts just above the grill, undo these & remove. Hope you don't mind getting dirty(no jokes please! ) Get on the floor & underneath you will see 2 10mm bolts that hold the front of the undertray on, remove these & you will see 2 T30 torx bolts underneath, remove these & the 2 on the ends of the bumper & it should pull free!"

Sounds like fun!

"What thread did you get the above from?"

I've no idea Stu. I try to keep my own records of anything useful like "How to..." descriptions in case I think I might need em one day.
