I've bought a new stereo but it doesn't seem the cage will fit at all. I can put the stereo in the original cage but it just slides about. I also can't put the fascia adapter on with the original cage because something blocks it from going into place. I've already done all the wiring stuff, I just can't fit it. Any help?

I did remove the original cage but then the new cage is small in comparison so it wont fit properly. Will upload a pic in a minute

Just re-read your OP and it looks like you already have one, so you should be able to install that, then push the cage into the opening, bend a few tabs to hold it into place, then plug the cables in and slide the stereo in. Where are you? If you're still having issues someone local may be able to assist.
Probably explains why it's not fitting right
It seemed to be for me, i managed to get the cage in by bending some tabs and using the screws from my old cage, then I put the new radio in without its faceplate, put the fascia adaptor on and then the faceplate. It can come out easy but hasnt fallen out just yet. The stereo's faceplate basically stops it from sliding back past the adaptor
So i took thoses pics to try to explain the issue . Let's imagine i took off the old original headunit and old cage ( the one held by Torx screws ) and put the new fascia in place :
This way the new head unit holds perfectly and won't slide around BUT isn't the weight of the unit too much to be hold just by a fascia ( remember the old cage is out , big empty space behind ) ?!

The cage should be able to fix where the old (big) one was somehow. There were two tabs on the sides of mine I could put a screw into. Then I put my radio in and put the fascia on over it. The actual radio fascia/faceplate stops the radio from moving in mine
:slayer: Thank you ! I just finished installing it , so the new fascia and cage hold it perfectly , no need of the old big cage afterall .
Now my only concern is about the cables : i've put yellow and red together so that it can work but i must not forget to turn it off manually as its link to ignition anymore
