How easy is it to fit a new water pump to a 1108 ?
Im just making enquires as i seem to be using more water than normal.
No wet patches on floor.
Coolent cap fits well and i get a hiss when it is undone.
No mayo in oil cap.
coolant still smells sweet.
Doesnt overheat (runs at 70 on mway, 80ish in the town, fan on at 90).
Oil on dipstick still clean.
Heater still warm (not as warm as my 899 though)
Ticks over not fantastic at 1000 revs (kind of feels like it is low on amps?).
Liquid spluttering out of exhaust (unburnt fuel or condensation/water?).

If the water is coming from the water pump, you will be able to see it, but probably only after the engine is well up to temperature. Get an axle stand and remove drivers side front wheel. Run the engine. You will see a trickle of water at the base of the cam cover/water pump.

Pointless replacing it if there is no leak -- it can only leak out, not in.

as above, but there is a guide of water pump removal/refit in the guides section, its quite an easy job.

if its using water, and you cant see any leaks, worst case scenario is the head gasket, and if so, better to get it done sooner rather than later - its not as difficult as you may think, again there is a guide in the guides section.

The head gasket is 2yrs old and the cars has only covered 12000 miles on it so i hope its not that.
Thanks, saw the guide on the 2nd of the guide pages.
Blead the system and im keeping an eye on the water level.
