how to check amp works without pre outs???

well i bought a velocity (good make??? never heard of?) ages ago from a bootfair for £1 or something, and i now need to know if its working, i wired it upto my car battery and all the power light lit up so i know its not totaly dead, but i need to know if theres a way to check if its all working without plugging it up to a car stereo? here are a few pics just incase-

and on other end is just pre out input thing and some switches.

wouldnt think so as it needs the RCA feed to provide the signal to give sound.

if you've got a phono to 3.5mm jack cable u can test it off your ipod or cd player or whatever, just be sure to keep the volume low or you'll get loads of clipping. Should be fine for a quick check to make sure you're getting sound through it though.
