how the fudge...

i hponed around some garages this morning, my local wanted 2 hours labour (£90!) to remove the old ones, next place i rang were too busy to do it and then i rang who they suggested who did it for me on the side in 3 minutes and fitted the new ones for £20 (y) bargin, will be going back there!

however one of the sleves doesnt fit properly so now i gotta wait for powerflex to work out what going on(n)

nightmare

the ones that went together right dont fit, looks like the garage put the washer on the wrong way.

these sodding bushes are worse than doing the cambelt, i am never touching them ever again, my hands hurt rather alot, i have metal splinters, lots of missing skin, blood everywhere and blisters.

these are most deffinatly not an at home job, just take it to the garage and fork the bill.

For search relevence: Poly bush bushes polyurathane powerflex marea weekend 2.0 20v 147 mk1 suspension wishbone

do not buy these, the look like they were designed by the same monkey who thought up the ebay resistor, at best they will get to within 5mm of fitting but no matter now much force you apply will they ever fit.

i've wasted nearly £200 and 3 days trying to fit these peices of **** and i'm not happy, now i need to find a lift to work until i can get new arms with rubber bushes on ordered and those are going to put the cost of this experience up to nearer £300, and for what? a set of rubber bushes :bang:

****ing ******s

i've never heard of poweflex bushes not fitting before. are you sure you got the right ones for your car

it should be a very tight fit, if it wasnt then it would allow play. fitting rubber bushes is always a pain in the arse, so i'd expect polybushes to be even more difficult since they're harder than rubber.
you could always sell them on ebay :(

I'd certainly be getting on to powerflex about this, as surely they should fit right, i'd send them all info you have and copies of the bills you've needed to fit them, tell them your willing to send your wishbones but obviously you'll be without a car etc while they solve the problem.

its not that they dont fit the arms (okay 1 didnt but they are sending a new sleve for that) its that once on the arms they dont fit the car, at best i got 3 of 4 bolts in, just no hope of getting the other in, tried purring that one in first but then couldnt get any of the others in.

utter tat, wouldnt pay £113 for a set ever again. also remember its going to cost you about about £80 atleast ro have the old sleves removed and buying new outer sleves.
