Interested to know people's excess, because I know mine is really quite high. So, tell us who you're with, your excess amount and value of car.

Compulsory £500
Voluntary £250
Value of Car £10,000

Will hopefully reduce this quite a bit soon though!

When I renew it will only have to pay £200 compulsory.

Come the annual renewal I guess the company will need another figure for the value of car (because the vehicle is a year older it will cost less to buy a car of similar age, spec etc if it gets written off) Will they do it themselves, automatically, or is it my responsibility to update them?

Mines going up as the LPG conversion has increased my cars value according to several sources

Come re-newal, if with the same company I don't think they ask unless you tell them. Didn't when I renewed with Endsleigh iirc.
