General How much is the cambelt to change roughly

I think I paid about £220 including parts (& water pump), labour and VAT last time I had it done. I bought the Conti kit (very good quality - will buy another next time) and gave it to the local garage to fit.

Labour on mine was £90 I supplied parts..That was in Bedfordshire 6 month ago

Boilermansab is that it on this aux belt, and guide tensioner pulley?? Or do you need to do the deflection pulley as well?

Depends how flush with cash you are!

Well I have a clutch, dmf, cambelt and water pump Sat in my utility room waiting to be fitted on Tuesday and still need to get aux belt ordered how flush do you think I am lol how does £250 Labour sound to fit all that?

I replaced the tensioner, deflection pulley and belt today. It had been squealing, particularly in damp weather, for about a year! From above, I could see that the tensioner pulley was not quite in line with the rest.

Two points:
1. The deflection pulley bolt needs the right tool. I couldn't fit a 15mm socket in there and my only 15mm ring spanner has an offset handle so I couldn't get a decent torque on it. I borrowed a 'flat' ring spanner and it came off quite easily.
2. The new deflection pulley (eurocarparts, supplied with thick washer) was rubbing when fitted without the washer. It didn't look to be offset compared to the old pulley, and when I loosely refitted the old pulley this was rubbing too - maybe a washer fell out without my noticing. When I fitted the new pulley, with the thick washer between pulley and engine, the pulley seemed to be out of line with the other pulleys, so I used a thinner washer instead. The pulley is now only slightly out of line. Has anyone else seen the same issue ?

No sign of deterioration of the crankshaft pulley rubber, so I didn't replace that. (Smudgy mark on right hand side is just where I touched the rubber to see if it felt undamaged).
