I was using Fiatecuscan diagnostic program on a laptop and after going through everything I noticed that It said the ECU Is not programmed.
I think this Is why my digital display on the dash Is always flashing.

Is this a case of re-mapping.

Do I have to take It to a fiat dealership to get this done or would a garage Be able to programme It.

Or does anyone know where I can get the software to do It myself, I can buy the mapper off ebay for about £30.

If you have had an ECU re-mapped/married/programmed to a car how much Did It cost you?

If your cars working then just get the dashboard programmed to your car.

Fiat only job unless some 3rd party happens to have a fiat examiner.

You should get this done asap as your milage will not change and is illegal, and will invalidate your insurance.

I phoned a fiat dealership and they said the car wouldn't start If the ECU wasn't programmed.

To get It re-mapped they will charge me about £70,but I don't know If this Will solve the problem.

The mileage is working properly, so Is everthing else apart from the speedo But I think this may be because of the front wheel speed sensor where there Has been a knock on driver side wing (the previous owner not me).

Just to clarify- there's multiple ECU's on the car- engine, body, cluster, airbag, etc, so when you said "my ECU isn't programmed" they probably assumed you were talking about the Engine/Body Computer.

If the mileage is flashing on the cluster, you need Proxi Alignment.

Thanks for that, after looking on net is does need proxy aligning.

Is there anything on net I can get free or buy to do It myself through a laptop?
