I am new here. This is the list of cars I have owned and when I owned them.

1. 1990 Ford Fiesta 1.1LX, March 2002 to August 2004, 79,000 miles to 123,000 miles
2. 1995 Ford Escort 1.8TD Ghia, February 2004 to October 2004, 122,000 miles to 144,000 miles
3. 1999 Ford Focus 1.8TDDi Zetec, October 2004 to November 2012, 127,000 miles to 209,000 miles
4. 1993 Daihatsu Fourtrak 2.8TDX, January 2007 to August 2007, 62,000 miles to 66,000 miles
5. 1999 Ford Focus 1.8TDDi CL estate, August 2007 to January 2009, 101,000 miles to 116,000 miles
6. 2008 Fiat Bravo 1.4T-Jet (150) Dynamic, November 2012 to date, 48,000 miles to (currently) 56,000 miles

You may note the overlaps.

My fiesta overlapped my Escort because it failed it's MoT before I sold it, so it was parked up for months until I got it sorted for it's test.

And yes, I ran two cars side-by-side for a couple of years. My first Focus became a bit of a show car, and not wanting to ruin it on the daily commute, I bought a hack to get to work with. Unfortunately the Fourtrak, fun though it was, had a drinking habit so I went for something cheaper to run in the second Focus.

And yes, my show focus was taken up to 209,000 miles. It was a reliable old car, only breaking down once on my at 198,000 when the fuel injection pump died. Besides that it was just routine stuff, discs & pads, the odd wheel bearing and normal servicing.

Hmm....

Not to mention any transient cars, and a load of bikes.

Don't think there's much need for pictures

To be fair to Andi I did say in the op pics were welcome although admittedly I'm hoping for pictures of cars belonging to the newbs rather than those posted before.

I'm not fussed though and will happily look at most car pictures* :D

* this is not an invite to post pictures of the puke or any other monstrosity

Still can't believe you're breaking a punto GT  In fact I may have to ban you from ever mentioning that on here again ;)

Not sure I should post my car history as it's embarrassing for someone who claims to like cars. But despite over 20 years of continuous car ownership I've only ever had 3.

1) 1983 VW polo 1.1 - old style wagon-shaped hatchback - surprisingly nippy on the country roads and I used to regularly **** off a mate with a 1.6 astra by being quicker off the mark than him
2) 1994 VW polo 1.4 - boring but hard to kill although I managed it eventually. Also quite nippy on the country roads but wasn't as fun as the first polo
3) 2009 GP 1.6 mjet sporting

No idea what's next as I intend to keep the current car for a good few years yet

I looked at the vw range and none of them were in any way inspiring whereas the GP was lots of fun. As soon as I hit the back roads in the test drive the salesman knew he'd made a sale
