Got a package yesterday for some new shocks for my car (1.8bravo) as mine after lowering were shagged.... went with KYB as they were the ones raved about on here but how much difference will there actually be once I've fitted them this weekend?

Cheers

Any new dampers will feel great if replacing an old set :)

I've only tried KYB once, (on a small Jap. hatch, not on a Brava/o) - they were fine, but a little harsh compared to the standard gas set-up, so I ended-up re-fitting the, (quite new) originals.

The only dampers I know to be top quality and never a let-down are Koni - even their cheaper hydralic 'red' types are better than some gas I've experienced.

I think most people rave about KYB shocks when fitting a set of Eibach springs.... because they should fit new shocks to get the best our of the springs and KYB's are very good value for money.

If your thinking of uprating the springs then I can't reccommend Eibachs enough.... made my old JTD enjoyable to fling about :)

New shocks will make a hell of a difference simply due to the fact they are not worn out and crap.

People seem to think that shocks last forever. The reality is you should change them every 60k or so. Even if its not leaking it doesn't mean its working at its best.

na their not leaking.... theres no fluid left i reckon! and yea think my springs are ventura or something... never heard of them but not had any problems with them...
