Technical How do you adjust balance on handbrake (discs)

Hello, it's coming up to MOT time and I have noticed that the handbrake is hardly working on the passenger side. The cable is in tact as you can see the spring on the caliper move then someone operates the lever. The caliper works fine under footbrake control.

Where the left and right cables join to the single cable near the handbrake lever it looks out of balance.

I cannot see how to adjust the balance of the handbrake as the cables look a single length. Has anyone got any ideas?

Looks like it has a small equalizer bar

Thanks Peat, I think it was the equaliser bar being caked in mud that was the problem as I cleaned and greased this and now both sides of the car raise and lower equally when trying to drive/reverse with handbrake on.
