Nice one Uno_

:) A few things that leap out to me.

Central switch bank screw cover (next to rear windscreen button)– Mine broke too when I replaced the surround plate a couple of months ago.

Exposed speaker wire (beside your left foot as you drive). Get it shielded as a short could blow your head unit. – Probably wont as they normally have circuit protection these days…

Fake looking car alarm box. If it is real, shouldn’t it be out of sight. I’d guess to a car thief it looks like ripping it out might silence the alarm. Also they would know what alarm system you have. I used to have stickers from a different brand car alarm to try and fool potential thieves.

Oh and missing screw under car alarm – do you count the “spare parts” after completing a job. I made it 0 today.

 Here are a couple of low quality snaps for comparison.

 Not sure about the air vents, I will leave this one for someone else.

1. screw cover- when i tried to take it off it was super glued on so i had to burn it off with a lighter! so that got destroyed. lol

2. speaker wire out cos i was trying solder all the joints together and the trim broke where the speaker wire was under so i need to sort that.

3. alarm box- how you know it was fake!! lol.

4. the screw missing is cos i put the centre console bolts/screws in a safe place, i just havent remembered where that safe place is yet.

Wow! Is that a SX model? My console/dash unit ends at the head unit bit. Below that it's all open with crappy carpet around the gear stick (And that's a sticky gear stick too, not a solid looking think like yours).

Nah ( :) unfortunately) mine is a base model (orange indicators only for Base).

;) I think it’s a future of the Injection Unos with C514 Gearbox.

Very nice job....thinkin of doin it myself actually. One thing puts me off...me being so clumsy Im afraid that I might scratch since I literraly throw my wallet in and the same goes for my mobile phone:D

Louie Bee:
My gear lever and central console are precisely like mine! I want to fit an aftermarket gear level though!! Do you know how to go round doin it? The gearknob seems to be stuck in to the whole reverse thing mechanism!! Know how to do it??

P.S. sorry for hijacking the thread

(n) I'm not sure about moding the Uno gear shifter for Uno with C514 / C513 box. (y) This thread in Cinq/Sei > Styling happened to pop up back stage for good rep recently https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?postid=326928#post326928  I'm not sure if its the same as for the later Uno, but you can always ask ;)

Hi All,

So my car would have the C501 gearbox?
Hi ts86,

 TBH I’m not sure which gearbox the Uno 60 has. I only know mine has C514 as Haynes refers to my box as this. There I found no information on your Uno’s box.

:) I only found out how to drain my gear oil thanks to Morty Mort on https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=21132 thread, as nothing on that anywhere.

;) phatboy130 Has an Uno 60 with queries on his “Tipo style gearbox”. Perhaps you have the same? https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?p=327678
