Hi I own a bravo 1.8 HLX which I love, its been a great car but an expanding family and a long commute everyday has led me to buy a xantia TD for my sins, however I want to hang on to the Bravo as my missus is learning to drive and I like the car so I'd like to hang on to it.

Does anyone know how best to insure both cars? More Than, who currently insure it for around £35 a month wanted another £67 a month to insure the xantia!! I refused that and instead have got the bravo on a temporary cover basis costing about £15 for 2 weeks.

I thought I'd be able to insure both cars for not much more than 1 as I have yet to perfect the ability to drive two cars at once! Both cars are kept off road at night, both are low risk groups so any thoughts or suggestions as to how I can get cheap cover?

Has anyone else done this.

Don't think I can wangle a Bravo on a classic cover just yet :)

hmm thats tricky. is that with ur learner women on ur cover aswell?? try adrian flux. my mate works there he did me a cracker. old insurence with mods was 2500 a year with NO no claims and an accident claim. its now LOL 1410 a year with 1 year no claim all mods declared. should of been 1600 but he got it on some other scheme some how and then took and extra 60 off just cos it was me LOL

hmm 'quote me happy'

I think I may refuse to ever go with Norwich Union based on their extremely annoying adverts...or is it just me who wants to punch the telly when they are on?

Anyway yes I'll try Adrian Flux. Oh and the car would only be in my name as the only driver.

Has anyone one else had the same insurance dilemma - I don't want to sell the Bravo but I may have to.

I am currently insuring a HGT and a Prelude with Direct line...for just the HGT i think they are fairly dear, but both together they were cheaper than most..

28yr old
3yrs no claims (made a claim which wasn't my fault, they said that i lost my no claims bonus, but they still quote them on the policy?)
No convictions

£650
additional £200 for the prelude...

Alot of insurers have a 'second car' option, might be worth a go..
