but polish might not get into little chip marks, what about hot water or something? does polish not also leave some sort of coating, i need it back to bare clearcoat.
I guess I should ask... why do you need it right back to the paint?

going to apply colour magic to it to fill in the little stone chips and want it to bond well in the chips, i.e not sit ontop of other wax
you can still get it keith as you say its highly volatile so no smoking or anything like that when using it...

Get yourself some Panel Wipe from any good paint shop supplier. It's basically white spirit but without being microfiltered, which makes it stronger, and cheaper.
Clay bar or IPA will do the trick.
you're supposed to use sugar soap, same as prepping for painting.
colour magic is just colour t-cut. if you mean the little chip stick you get with it, its only a crayon. yes a crayon! they can work wonders.

panel wipe is what I use in the bodyshop as it removes silicone. It's used to wipe panels in order to remove contamination particularly silicone that can cause fish Eye etc.
However G3 or T cut will take it off quite easily and this is what i'd use.

As I said, spirit wipe is the only way a body shop would use to remove wax and silicones.
Forgot to say that you use lint free paper to wipe it. Get supplies from a specialist bodyshop wholesale supplier. Plus any other preparation materials needed.
