Technical How can I remove my fiat uno head rests?

I know this may be the wrong forum, but i'm having trouble removing the headrests on my Fiat Uno (it's a K-Reg, 1.0 i.e). Can they be removed? Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove them (I would like to put them bck on afterwards!).

Ive removed the headrests when i re-trimmed my seats.

If you unhook the material on the bottom of the back of the seat and reach up to the top, there are two clips (look like big hair clips) that slide into grooves in the metalrods that are part of the headrest.

All you need to do is slide them out and the headrest lifts off.

Re-fitting is the reverse of removal.

I just happened to strip down an SX/Turbo seat last weekend… see attached.

You should be able to feel black clips inside seat (from behind).

Unclip seat back cover at bottom. You might gently run a blunt knife along the plastic clips– note how it fits together. Peel cover upwards.

Note how fitted and remove 2 pins

Slide headrest rest upwards.

Re fit is reverse (I think) I’m not putting mine back together as seat looks like its been bogged before!!!
