I'm thinking about upgrading my horn to the "STEBEL Nautilus Air Horn" as I find the Multipla's horn a bit .... lets say bordering on "ha was that his horn, is that Daffyd Thomas (Little Britain) driving".

http://www.stebel.it/stebel/index2009.htm

click on the link, skip intro, products, click on car pic, and then Nautilus series,

What I want to know is will the wiring handle it.

Oh and check out the musical selection, (Cavalry charge) Great.:slayer:

I've put one of these horns on my car, it came with a relay but I don't reckon it's needed, the standard horn has a relay anyway, mine works finewithout a relay, I got mine from justkampers.com for about £7.95

I totally agree. Every time I use the horn on my multi I make a comment about how awful it sounds:eek: It doesn't really command much authority I'm sure you will all agree. I would love to fit a lorry horn, that would be cool:D

I've had a Stebel Nautilus fitted to my bike for about three years, just using the bike's own relay and had no problems.:) It's much better than the original horn, but I'm not so sure it's as loud as they claim. However, still a worthwhile upgrade. If you go for a Nautilus, bear in mind you'll probably have to beef up the horn fittings to hold it. It's fairly bulky and it's heavy!

It's strange, in the past, one thing you could be sure of with Italian cars was that the horn would be excellent, but now they're pretty feeble. Must be money saving... The horns on our Grande Punto, new Bravo and the Multi all sound the same - **** poor! Except now the Multi's got an old Klaxon Klaxette which does a pretty good job...

Couldn't agree more, I had an Alfa 156 which blasted out testerone by the ear full. Lets face it you are only going to use your horn in road rage (in a non violent manner of course), or my favourite at some old person standing by thier gate that glares at you as you drive by. A beep and a wave keeps them guessing for days "do I know him??.:p

Hi all. Just fitted a Nautilus Air Horn on my multipla and apart from having to make a new mounting bracket, it was an easy job and the existing wiring should hold as it is 20A rated and the max for the horn is <19A so that's cool.

Nice and loud compared to the original too :D
